Feeding (Picky Eaters)

Picky eating can occur at any time in a child's life. In general, a third of kids will grow out of their picky eating.
However, Preterm infants, kids with developmental delays and Autistic kids are at risk of feeding challenges.
Sensory Processing difficulties, immature oral motor skills, gut sensitivities, reflux, allergies, constipation, nutritional deficiencies can all impact sensory based picky eating.

Ozgul has completed her SOS Approach To Feeding Training and continues to develop her knowledge and expertise in this area.

Communication

Connection is essential for human survival and happiness. When we feel safe, we can truly connect with others. Connection is  essential for communication. When we value a child’s natural way of communicating, in turn we enable more connection and communication.

When kids encounter challenges in their daily lives, we often look to the child. Presuming that the problem that needs to be fixed is within the child.

But my life’s experience has taught me that it’s not just the individual. It is often the environment that needs accomodations. When we identify the environmental factors contributing to the challenges, it’s possible to make small adjustments, which ultimately can lead to big changes for the individual.

I focus on child led strategies that respects each individual’s diverse learning needs.

Rhythmic Movements & Primitive Reflexes

Rhythmic movements are gentle rocking and reflex integration movements that stimulate neural pathways and promote brain development. Rhythmic Movements provide the basis for optimizing our ability in all areas of life and can be beneficial to everyone regardless of age or skill level. The movements are effective for primitive reflex integration, whole-brain learning, speech development, behaviour and emotional balance and ease of movement optimizing skills, reducing stress, and improving general well-being.
